How to share folder or account

You can share your folders or entire account with your colleagues to improve collaboration or substitute you while you are out of the office.

  1. Right-click a folder or account root folder that you want to share.

  2. Select Folder Access Rights to open the list of contacts you want to share this folder with.

  3. In the Folder Access Rights, you will see the accounts you share the folder with. If you share a folder with all contacts, you will see Everyone/Anonymus.

  4. To invite new accounts to the list, click Add . In the Select Users window, you will see the list of contacts you can add.

  5. You can select contacts from different kind of lists :

    • Suggested contacts: accounts that share their folders with you.
    • Subscribed contacts: accounts that share their folders with you and you accept their invitation.

    • Select From Address Book: in the new window, you will see Address Book with all your contacts.

  6. Click account to see what permissions are assigned to it (read, write, modify, delete, etc.)

  7. To give permission to an account, select it from the list and check the relevant checkbox. Also, you can expand the dropdown to see the list of predefined permissions:

    • All enables all individual permissions(see and add new items, delete and modify items, etc.), except Administer.

    • Full enables all individual permissions, including Administer who has the right to change permissions for this folder.

    • Read grants permission to read items (see emails, etc.) in the folder.

    • Write grants permission to create new items in the folder (write emails from your account, create new subfolders, etc.).

    • None denies all permissions for a chosen account.

    • Custom allows to set permissions individually.

  8. In case the folder you want to share is a child folder of another folder already shared, click Inherit. It is not necessary to choose the same access permissions for this folder. To stop sharing a child folder, click Cancel Inheritance.

Note: If you select Everyone/Anonymous, you will share your content with everyone.
