Step 3 – Required packages

In order to complete the installation of Outlook Sync, you need the following software packages:

• Visual Studio Tools for Office 4.0 (choose 32bit or 64bit depending on your Microsoft Outlook version)

• Primary Interop Assemblies 2010 for Microsoft Outlook 2016 and later

In case some of them are missing, the Outlook Sync installer wizard will install the packages automatically. However, in order to do this you need to run installer under Windows administrator account. All these software packages require administrator privileges, because they modify files in the areas inaccessible to a regular user account.

If your Windows does not have packages listed above, and the installation does not start automatically, make sure, you have enough rights to modify the registry of the machine. Ask your administrator to grant you the administrator's privileges.
